Mountain Highs and Valley Lows

 For over a year, I have been trying composting in trash cans. While I did end up with some dark dirt, II am not happy with the results I got. The dirt I got was a wet soggy mess. I poured the dirt in the trash can in the front yard out into the raised garden bed I have in the front yard to let it dry out. I hope after it dries out I while have usable compost. I will let it dry for the rest of the week and check on it this weekend. Since the trash can compost has not worked, I will go back to having a post compost pile behind the shed in the backyard. Over the years, I have had better results from the compost pile in the backyard and it is less work to maintain.  I hope to get a garden started in my front yard next year. I got sick with Covid while I was working on getting it set up this year.  I have been doing good with my recovering from my heart issues caused by Covid. I have a good chance of not needing to take medication. My blood test and EKGs have come back looking good. Even though I am going in the right direction with my recovery, I have days when I am full of energy and can work on things all day. Then there are days, that I do one thing and I and beat for the rest of the day.  This summer has been a rough one for my mom and me. I was in the hospital for Covid for a week and a half. My mom has been in the hospital three times this summer. First time for Covid and the other two times for things related to Covid aftereffects. Many of our plans for this summer have been cancelled, rescheduled, and put off for now.  I am hoping to hear soon if I get a promotion that I put in for at work. I have been enjoying the past few days with friends and family. I got out of the hospital on Wednesday. I got Covid and it affected my heart. I survived the flight with Covid.  With Covid affecting my heart, I must make some changes to my life. I have been looking at making the changes for a while. I have been craving different foods that are recommended for a heart healthy lifestyle. The biggest change will be having to take medication daily. I have only been taking multivitamins and Vitamin C daily. I have been healthy my whole life. I rarely get sick and when I do get sick, it is for a day or two and then right back to life. I will be talking with my new team of doctors; about an exercise program I can do. I have been looking at getting back into the gym. I just wish I had a 24-hour gym that had a pool so I could get a good swim routine going. I always did better in the gym with Aqua part in my workout. I love swimming a lot and when I go swimming laps, it helps me clear my mind...

I am in the middle of a huge project of cleaning and organizing my whole house. I am going to go through each room of my house and clean and organize everything. I plan on replacing some furniture to help with better organization of my house. Some of the furniture is not serving the propose I need it for. I hope that when I am done with my cleaning and organizing project, I will be able to locate thing better and keep everything cleaned better. I am currently, working on cleaning and organizing the kitchen. This is not the first time, I have cleaned and organized the kitchen since I moved in the house but this is the first time I doing a full kitchen cleaning and organizing of it. I have pulled out everything out of the cabinets, wiped the cabinets out and then put the cans and boxes of food back in the cabinets. Sunday Afternoon, I went to my first party in years. It was a great lift me up. I enjoyed myself a great deal. I got to see some people I have not seen in a while. Enjoyed sending sometime with people I see everyday in a different setting. Plus I got to meet some new people. I did not retreat into the background at this party like I normally do at events like this party. I was not the center of attention but I felt as part of the group. That is a good feeling for me.  The party lifted me even more out of the longest and deepest depression in have had. I think in we continue to lift out of my depression with some more of my plans. In a couple weeks I will be joining other friends for some fun on Halloween.  I also have a few other projects, I am working on that continue to show me I have worth and belong.  I am on my way up to a Mountain High now. Yes there will be a Valley Low after that but it will be followed by another Mountain High.

 I have been having a issue with the water flow in to my washer for awhile. I cleaned the filters that filter the water going in to the washer. I w as still getting the error code that the washer was not getting water when in switch into the raise cycle. So when I had time, I took the back of the washer off the washer to check the inside of the washer. I ran the washer an check the intake valve. The one of the solenoids felt hot as the washer ran through its cycles. I figure that valve that it was over was clogged. I looked the part up online. I ordered the part I needed. I had to wait to a day I had time to replace the intake valve before heading to work. On Saturday, I set in on replacing the intake valve. The whole process went a lot easier and quicker then I thought it would. It took me less then 30 minutes from start to finish. That includes the testing for leaks. Over the past year, I have been dealing with issues with my septic system. It was an ordeal just to get the critical issues with the septic to keep things from backing up into the house. After several calls to septic companies and a contractor, I located the septic tank and had the critical part of the problems taking care of. Then I worked on saving up the money, I needed in order to have drain field possibly repaired. I kept my eye on the check values of the waist line. When things started to really start backup, I made to decide to go ahead and call the Septic Company, I wanted to work on the whole problem at first but they were 3 to 4 weeks out when I was in emergency mode with the septic system.  They were only a week or two out now. Most of my wait was because of weather. They came and started to dig starting from the exit port of the septic tank and made their way towards the drain field.  Fortunately, only a few feet out they found the issue that was causing the issues...
